Should you sell your house? Should you give up the house that you love, that you have cared for, that's been home to you and yours? Should you hit the pavement and look for another 'perfect' property? Can you handle another closing? Another move? Sure you can, if you have a good reason.

A new location might put you closer to work, or shopping and recreation. If your kids are grown, or you've now started a family, your needs may be very different. Selling and moving may be a way to serve those needs.

As your family grows, or as kids head to college and move out, you may find your current space no longer suits you. A move can give you more space or the opportunity to scale down and have maintenance that matches your current lifestyle.

Changes in your financial situation are yet another reason to consider a move. If you're doing well, you might want to find a home that better suits your social and business needs. If you're retiring soon, a smaller mortgage and less upkeep are attractive.

In some cases, the loss of a spouse necessitates a move. Selling and moving after a huge life change is common, whether for emotional reasons or practical reasons. Sometimes, the move is simply a fresh start.
